Dogs are truly remarkable creatures. Not only are they loyal companions, but they also have an innate sense of compassion and protection that extends beyond their own species. This was certainly the case for one rescue dog, who became a guardian and best friend to an orphaned foal.
Karla Swindle, the owner of S & K Quarter Horses in Fayette, Alabama, had to euthanize her 22-year-old mare, Sandy, a few years ago due to declining health. This was especially heartbreaking for Sandy's foal, Tye, who was left orphaned at just 9 days old.....
